• Charles Gooding, Co-Founder

    Charles Gooding was born and raised in an all-black neighborhood of Seattle’s Historical Central District. He beat the odds and overcame drug addiction, homelessness, mental health challenges, and incarceration.

    Charles began as a Peer/Outreach Specialist and worked his way from the bottom up. He is a passionate change agent committed to ending negative vicious cycles of addiction and incarceration in the same community he survived. Charles is a recovery coach, reentry counselor, and peer/outreach specialist.

    Since successfully accomplishing a degree in substance use disorders, and youth development, his career focus is specializing in prevention and intervention - providing direct treatment services and facilitating relapse prevention models.

    Charles was on the first committee in Washington State to launch peer model approaches. 21 years later he continues his tireless mission as an energetic recovery coach and motivational speaker, using many different platforms empowering lives and promoting positive change.

  • Nature Carter Gooding, Co-founder

    Nature Carter is a Seattle Native that grew up in Historical Central District, Yesler Terrace Housing Projects. She is a dynamic energetic leader, innovative program developer, powerful motivational speaker, extraordinary mentor, a wife, a mother, grandmother and simply an authentic amazing women filled with heartfelt kindness.

    Nature is known for being the unheard voice for marginalized communities and leadership in reducing the demand of buyers, and providing exit pathways for commercially exploited adults and the intersections of violence work throughout Washington State for over 20 years.

    Her enriched personal lived experience, and professional career stands solid, as it was built with unwavering commitments with a wide range of diverse settings of nonprofits, from co- founding an organization, executive leadership to being on the front line providing direct culturally specific services.

    Today, Nature continues her tireless effort in sharing her struggle to success with humility, on many platforms, being a champion for change, mobilizing marginalized underserved black communities to raise awareness about the intersections of violence and lift up the silenced voices of survivors.
